Havas Health & You Global CEO Donna Murphy Named Among 100 People Who Make Advertising Great, a 4A’s Initiative Celebrating Association’s 100th Anniversary

One-time CFO/COO Donna Murphy now leads Havas Group’s health-and-wellness global network 30 years after joining the company

NEW YORK, Sept. 27, 2017—Havas Health & You, the unique health-and-wellness network focused on promoting healthy living decisions across the entire health ecosystem, announced this week that its Global CEO, Donna Murphy, is being recognized by the American Association of Advertising Agencies (the 4A’s) as one of 100 People Who Make Advertising Great.

This unique honor recognizes accomplished leaders and rising stars who make outstanding contributions to the advertising industry every day. The 4A’s received nominations from hundreds of agencies and associations for individuals at all levels and disciplines. A committee of esteemed industry players selected the final 100.

Since Ms. Murphy joined Havas Health in 1987, she has grown the organization from a one-shop pharmaceutical agency into a global marketing powerhouse in health and well- being. Over the past decade, she has tripled the size of the agency, which now has more than 65-plus offices in 50 countries. Today, she leads 4,000 employees around the world. Several years ago, she laid the framework for the dramatic growth and reorganization of the Havas Health agencies by diversifying core competencies into related health and wellness categories. She was also instrumental to the startup of all specialized services (PR, medical education, interactive, managed care consulting and sales training) and has overseen and integrated more than 20 acquisitions. Most recently, with the creation of Havas Health & You, she oversaw the joining together of the Havas Health networks (Havas Life, Health4Brands, Havas Lynx and Havas Life PR) with the consumer health businesses and practices of Havas Creative Group.

Ms. Murphy and her fellow honorees will be fêted at the 4A’s 100th Anniversary Gala, featuring Trevor Noah of “The Daily Show,” on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at Cipriani Wall Street in NYC. This event also serves as a benefit for the 4A’s Foundation, which supports education and diversity initiatives in advertising, media and PR, and will be held in conjunction with New York Advertising Week.
